Are you an experienced Toolmaker that’s looking for a new challenge? Do you want a permanent role? If so, our client wants you to join their friendly, relaxed team to enable them to expand even further. The company produces Press Tools for the aluminium window and door industry.

This is a specialised role where you are responsible for manufacturing the tools from the beginning to the Quality Control stage. Working hours are Monday - Thursday / 7am - 3:30pm & Friday / 7am - 1pm. Your hourly rate is dependent upon experience but you can expect between $30 - $40 p/hr. Although there is regular overtime available, it is not mandatory.

Key Duties include (but not limited to):-

• Operate the Band Saw
• Milling
• Grinding
• Welding
• Manufacture of Safety Guards
• Final trial of the tools
• CNC Milling / machining
• EDM Wire Cutting would be an advantage
• Design of Press Tools
• Focus on Quality, Productivity and Safety while actively contributing to the machine efficiencies
• General work station and workshop cleaning duties

Skills & Experience:-

• Previous experience working as a Toolmaker
• Ability to trouble shoot minor faults
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Previous experience in conventional milling would be highly regarded
• Mechanical Engineering Certificate or equivalent
• A very strong safety focus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to help train apprentices
• Able to provide a current resume with two recent contactable work references from a similar role
• Able to pass a medical (including drug and alcohol testing) if required
