We have been providing quality fabrication, abrasive blasting, painting, mine site maintenance and installation services with expertise & efficiency since 1998. Our workshop is centrally located in the Bowen Basin at Capella and an on-ongoing commitment to quality and safety continues to see our business grow. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Supervisor/Estimator to join our team for an immediate start.

Reporting directly to the Director, this role requires someone with experience in a similar role.

Duties include:

• Supervising the day to day operations of the workshop including scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities and monitoring progress 
• Providing technical advice on design standards and recommending modifications
• Identifying & resolving technical issues
• Sourcing and purchasing materials
• Tool Box meetings
• Estimating new work and liaising with existing and potential clients

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Trade Qualification
• Demonstrated steel fabrication experience
• Demonstrated experience with reading, interpreting and working with drawings
• 2+ years experience in a Workshop Supervisory role
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Drivers Licence

Preferred but not essential:

• Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11
