IVS Supervisor - Permanent Full Time Position

 

The Disability Trust is committed to providing highly professional care and support to people with disabilities and their families. Based in regional NSW and the ACT, The Disability Trust provides a wide range of services to residents from Sydney in the north to the Victorian border. 

 

The Disability Trust has its roots firmly in the community, having been established in 1974 to help children with disabilities and their families in the Illawarra. 

About the role:

The IVS Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and direction and to assist supported employees at Illawarra Vocational Services in order to ensure that job assignments are completed efficiently and safely and to a high standard. On-the-job training is provided to supported employees to assist them to best achieve their employment goals. The position will assist the IVS Managers to maintain good business standards to ensure the ongoing viability of the service.

The IVS Supervisor is a valued member of The Disability Trust and contributes to the development of service practice through regular team meetings, planning processes and policy reviews. All service delivery must be in line with the Policies and Procedures of the Trust and the requirements of the NSW Disability Services Act.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in mowing or garden maintenance for Commercial/Residential
• Commitment to WH&S and maintaining safety and welfare of crew members
• Experience in service provision to people with disabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Capacity to work independently within a framework of general direction/support
• Ability to plan and prioritise work
• Current Apply First Aid Certificate
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
• Current National Criminal History Check (cleared within the last 12 months)
