KAYS Meat is a subsidiary of Superior Food Group. Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are currently seeking applications for an Apprentice Butcher role based in Tamworth, NSW.
Overview
Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, its a fulltime position that will help you develop skills and knowledge in meat trade. No experience is necessary, but applicants will need to demonstrate a keen interest, have a sound work ethic and great presentation. The position may suit a recent school leaver.
Your day to day routine will look something like this:
- Assist customers with their selection and serving customers in a busy, team environment while learning the butcher trade.
- On the job training whilst completing an approved course of formal training through TAFE which is done on premises.
- Provide excellent customer services.
- Maintain strict health & safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.

- Eager to develop skills and knowledge in the meat trade.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Understand all aspects of food safety.
- Must be a team player.
