Normark Landscapes has been operating since 1977 and is a second-generation family landscaping business based in Tullamarine. With an impressive portfolio and reputation we provide premium services from landscape design and construction to garden maintenance throughout Victoria.
We are seeking an experienced Garden Maintenance Operations Manager to lead a team in providing gardening services across Melbourne.
About the opportunity:
If you are a great leader who excels at fostering relationships and delivering client expectations then we are looking for you. The role includes;
- Managing the Maintenance team, which consists of up to 10 staff and sub-contractors, including allocating jobs and runs.
- Maintain relationships with clients and solve client problems to ensure that financial objectives and clients’ needs are met.
- Manage sub-contractors and employees to ensure the Scope of Works are being completed on time and within budget.
- Thorough knowledge of OH&S requirements and procedures and ensure these are adhered to.
- Being motivated to drive the success of the department and seek continuous improvement.
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a landscaping department
- Product knowledge and experience in all aspects of gardening
- Experience quoting and working to budgets
- Managing a team of minimum 10 people
- Sound knowledge of plants species
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Current manual drivers licence
- OH&S Construction Induction card
- An understanding and appreciation of OH&S responsibilities
The ideal candidate would need to be willing to learn, grow with the business and have a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who is goal driven and motivated to work to tight deadlines and budgets.
You must be adaptable to a changing work environment and have great planning and organisational skills. Reliability is essential.
