Responsibilities and Duties of Caretaker Grounds Keeper

• Attend to general grounds keeping activities such as mowing, slashing, weed control, fencing and tree trimming etc. (specific tools and machinery provided)
• Lawn parks & garden maintenance including hedging
• Maintenance and operation of garden irrigation systems
• Cleaning of common areas such as exteriors, walkways, foyers, carparks etc.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Foremost  we require a mature, reliable and self-motivated individual who can work efficiently and diligently, preferably with a farming background
• Experience with large scale grounds keeping & weed control essential
• Completion of Chainsaw Operator Safety course
• Machinery tickets not essential however would be desirable
• Good communication and basic computer skills
• Good interpersonal skills

The Role

• Casual (with the option of going fulltime at employers discretion)
• 40 hours per week - 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday- Friday.
• Must have previous experience with grounds equipment such as ride on lawn mowers, tractors, slashers, ploughs, posthole diggers, spray rigs, chainsaws, weed-eaters etc.
