THE ROLE
Due to an ever growing portfolio of awarded contracts within the commercial, industrial and defence sectors, we are currently seeking an experienced Blast and Painter to join our growing NSW Defence Project Team. Reporting to the Blast & Paint Supervisor you will join our current team who are primarily responsible for the surface preparation and coating works associated with the Project.
To be considered for this role you must be living in the local area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Abrasive blasting operation
- Industrial spray painting
- Protective coating application
- Spray application of HB epoxy/ Polyurethane coating
- Work to a high standard to maintain productivity
- Ability to work within a cohesive team
- A willing and pro-active attitude towards safety
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 2 + Years experience in a similar role
- Ability to pass all pre-employment medicals and D&A requirements
- Current Construction White Card
- Current Working at Heights - highly advantageous
- Current Confined Spaces Ticket - highly advantageous
- Strong team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and reliable
- Previous experience in tank refurbishment projects is highly advantageous
- Be in possession of, or willing to obtain a current police clearance check (12 month expiry)
