We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our Queensland team in the Surat Basin. This role is FIFO ex Brisbane on a roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
This role will involve:
- Routine building maintenance and repair work of a non-trade nature.
- Perform basic carpentry and joinery works in buildings, including shelving, repairs to doors and frames.
- Schedule and oversee regular maintenance, servicing and repair of plant and equipment.
- Perform minor plumbing works including repairs to toilets, taps, spouting, leaking roofs
- Assist maintenance workers and tradespeople who are carrying out specialized maintenance/ repair work.
- Maintain the maintenance register, respond to all maintenance reports from employees and ensure all necessary follow up is programmed.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Test and tag certificate.
- C class open driver’s licence
It would be desirable to have:
- Forklift licence
- Previous experience working on a remote site
- White card
- EWP licence
- Working at heights training
- Confined space training
- Restricted trade licence
- Certificate II in any trade area
