Located in the Western Brisbane suburb of Seventeen Mile Rocks, AC Hargreaves specialise in the supply and refurbishment of Electric Motors, Pumps, and Transformers. We service a wide range of industry including mining, food processing, manufacturing and the energy industries. Due to our rapid expansion and diversification, opportunities have arisen for the above to become full-time members of our organisation.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidates will have a strong electrical background with a trade certificate in electrical fitting or equivalent or have experience as a trades assistant. You will need to be competent in the refurbishment and fault finding of low, medium & high voltage AC motors, DC motors, and generators. The applicants must show a true passion for the industry and have a high attention to detail. Communication (oral & written), computer and time management skills are also a prerequisite for the position.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Low, medium & high voltage AC motor testing, overhaul, rewind, & fault finding.
- Generator testing, overhaul, rewind & fault finding.
- DC & Traction motor testing, overhaul, rewind & fault finding.
- Onsite testing and repairs within Australia and overseas.
- Providing technical knowledge and experience.
- Showing a high level of commitment to company procedure and safety.
- Supervising and training apprentices and junior staff.
Skills Requirements
- Australian recognised trade certificate in electrical fitting or equivalent.
- Experience in dismantling, overhaul, assembly, repair and rewind of AC and DC motors and generators.
- Ability to carry out onsite servicing/testing.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail.
- Friendly and approachable attitude and manner.
- Ability to work independently and in pressure situations.
- Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity.
- First Aid and Riggers desirable but not a necessity.
- Hazardous Area AS/NZS 3800 Experience is highly desirable but not a necessity
- Manual Driver’s License.
