Scaffold Logistics is a leader in the scaffolding market, focused on providing a full range of scaffolding services to the Commercial, Industrial, and Civil sectors.    Privately owned with over four generations of experience we take pride in our heritage and our customer focused culture.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to effectively manage projects in the Hobart and surrounding regions.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated self-starter, be pro-active and result oriented.

Whilst you will act with a high level of autonomy, you will report and take direction from the National Operations Manager and Company CEO. Your highly refined interpersonal and negotiation skill sets will ensure you deal effectively with all internal and external stakeholders and maintain the exceptional standards that have been set for this role.

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of the project.
  • Developing the project plan.
  • Managing the project team.
  • Monitoring and managing the project risk.
  • Ensuring the project’s program and schedules are on target.
  • Managing the project budgets.
  • Taking action and resolving any project conflicts.
  • Planning and controlling change. 
  • Managing quality assurance programmes. 
  • Hiring of employees and planning staff development.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • All relevant accreditation's including Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Scaffold ticket, High Risk Work License and Construction White Card.  Scaffold ticket an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help the different parts of an organization work together.
  • Min 5 years' experience in the construction industry.  Scaffolding experience would be desirable.
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • General building experience
  • A 'can-do', enthusiastic attitude and reliability to arrive on the job on time, every time
  • Must be reliable with good work attitude and communication skills
  • Tech savvy with effective reporting skills.
  • Professionalism and pride in own work
  • A sound understanding of all Occupational Health & Safety procedures
