At present, Agri Labour Australia is looking for a skilled Fitter & Welder to join one of Australia’s emerging and exciting agricultural groups in Hillston, NSW.
THE ROLE
As part of an experienced maintenance team, the Agricultural Fitter & Welder will perform onsite repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient running of the farm.
The position requires someone who takes pride in their work and has the physical capability to undertake the required tasks and other continuous improvement projects. Able to be flexible with hours and equipped with a strong work ethic, duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Layout, fit and fabrication of metal components
- Repair and maintenance of machinery and farm structures
- Assisting with projects as required
- Committed to ensuring a culture of safety
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will be highly skilled in your trade and able to demonstrate your experience in welding and metal fabrication within the agricultural sector.
Innovative and well organised, the successful candidate will be able to design and create without the use of drawings and be skilled in fitting and machining. To be considered for the role, it’s important you can address the following criteria:
- Qualified Fitter/Welder
- Proven experience in reactive and preventative maintenance
- Understanding of PTO driven equipment
- Proactive and willing team member with great relationship skills
- Trouble shooter - adept in fault finding and quick to respond to issues
- Physically capable
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Safety conscious
