About the Role:
This role is for ENGIE Services Desa, a large electrical / data communications contractor. We are looking for a licenced Foreman or Leading Hand Electrician with Open Cabling registration and preferably endorsements in structured cabling and optical fibre.
This is a unique opportunity in a great team environment. You will be working as a Foreman / Leading Hand in our National Data Centre business for our ACT - Mitchell branch.
Main Activities
- Supervise, plan and co-ordinate allocated labour, materials, plant and equipment to complete the work / project on time and minimise wastage
- Plan work to achieve maximum output through studying specifications and drawings and keeping them on site, review and update the construction program with the Project Manager / Supervisor
- Supervise labour on the projects
- Monitor approvals on all variation requests
- Work within a team to deliver electrical and communications projects in accordance with Company standards and project time frames
- Demonstrate competence in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, colleagues and Managers of the Company
- Manage administrative requirements and provide support for preparation of estimates and quotations
- Attend call outs as per rostered requirements
- Attend toolbox meetings and training as required
- Conduct workplace audits and identify hazards in the workplace
- Ability to determine job priorities and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes
- Other duties as directed
Skills and Qualifications
- Data Centre experience & Foreman or Leading Hand experience
- Service technician experience
- Electrical licence
- Open cabling registration (with structured endorsement as a minimum and optical fibre preferred)
- Construction induction card
- Current drivers licence
- Willingness to work weekends if required
- Strong customer service, attention to detail & bias for action
- Pass a police check
