The Production Chemist is responsible for conducting testing and analysis on various substances and processing them in our on-site laboratory on an Offshore Production Facility. This is a FIFO 3 week rotation from Perth.
Typical analysis is carried out on the following types of substances (from various sources):
- Crude Oil: Export, separator, wellhead, OSI.
- Condensate: Incoming vessels (gas receivers, slug catchers).
- Sea Water: Seawater and water injection system.
- Produced Water: Water treatment plant, produced water characterisation.
- Gas: Gas throughout the oil and gas plant maybe requested.
- Methanol: Methanol regen system.
- Potable water: Boat, galley, cabin, laboratory.
- Lube oil: Any plant machine.
- Diesel: Diesel for generation.
Key Skills/Qualifications required:
- An individual qualified to degree level or equivalent in a chemistry based discipline.
- Several years’ relevant industry experience with offshore or remote experience preferred.
- Offshore Medical and Survival Certification.
- The ability to work independently and autonomously
- Strong client relationship management skills
- A hands-on approach and a can do attitude.
