With over 300 professional, technical and engineering staff based in 10 offices across Australia and New Zealand, we are now seeking to appoint a highly capable Team Manager to lead our growing Occupational Hygiene team!

As part of the Victorian Management team, you will drive growth and results through hands on leadership of a high performing team of technical experts (7-10) focussed on client satisfaction and operational excellence.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Practice Manager your key responsibilities will be:

• Leadership of the Occupational Hygiene consulting team through the use of your technical capabilities and high emotional intelligence to communicate strategy, ensure safety and cultivate a positive and successful culture
• Day to day management of team performance to achieve KPI’s through effective motivation, clear delegation and positive coaching principles along with oversight of the professional development needs for your team
• Developing client & market plans through business development initiatives, relationship building activity, key account management and thought leadership principles
• Delivering outstanding value and client satisfaction through proactive and effective commercial and project management expertise
• Monitoring and reporting on budget and other KPI performance measures via stringent data analysis and system maintenance on an ongoing basis

You:

• An inspirational people and lateral leader with proven experience managing and coaching a high performing team within Risk Consulting or similar Professional Services industries
• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Hygiene / Science or an approved discipline essential
• Post-graduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene and a Membership of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) would be well regarded
• Demonstrable experience within the field of occupational hygiene with a sound knowledge of occupational hygiene principles, OHS systems, hazard identification and risk assessment
• Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen business partnerships as well as work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve collective goals
• Strong project management and account management experience
• Excellent commercial acumen and effective time management skills
