IVF Laboratory Manager – Sydney

City Fertility Centre Sydney has a permanent full-time position available for a Laboratory Manager or Senior Embryologist who would like an opportunity to step up into a management role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of laboratory practises and existing lab personnel in our Liverpool clinic, with the opportunity to grow in the role, when further expansion of the CFC business in Sydney occurs.  

City Fertility Centre (CFC) is a privately-owned company that commenced operations in Brisbane in September 2003.

CFC expanded to the Gold Coast in 2005, St Kilda Melbourne in October 2006, Brisbane Southside in 2009, Adelaide April in 2011, Bundoora Melbourne in May 2013 and Liverpool Sydney in 2014.  During 2016 CFC also opened Rainbow Fertility consulting rooms, making CFC the first dedicated fertility and IVF service provider in Australia to cater exclusively for the LGBTI community.

Just recently CFC entered a partnership with a consortium comprising Korean healthcare operator CHA Healthcare Co. Ltd (CHC), a world leader in women’s health, based in Seoul, South Korea, and the Singapore Medical Group (SMG). Through working with CHA/SMG we will gain access to their globally renowned medical, operational, and research and development expertise and will continue to grow in Australia with a strong focus on excellence in reproductive medicine and research.

The laboratory is located in our Liverpool Clinic, however travel will be required to attend other clinician consulting rooms in (Miranda and the occasional trip to Woolloomooloo) during work hours.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a clinical embryology/andrology laboratory in a supervisory or management position
  • Science degree (post graduate qualification in reproductive science is preferred)
  • Excellent scientific knowledge of reproductive biology
  • Embryo biopsy experience preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of quality management systems and their function within an embryology laboratory
  • Ability to manage the day to day running of the embryology/andrology laboratory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide scope for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead with sound knowledge and experience in team building and mentoring
  • A focus on providing exceptional patient care
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Knowledge of federal and state legislation pertaining to infertility treatment
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of the RTAC code of practice, and NHMRC Guidelines
  • Must hold a current driver's licence.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia.
