About the Role
AWX are seeking multi-tasking Laboratory Assistants who have great time management skills. This is a fast paced Commercial Laboratory in Bundaberg. You would need to have a Science Background with knowledge of all equipment used in a Laboratory an advantage.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS (ESSENTIAL)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Reliable Transport
- Science Background - Experience preferred or a Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Skills
- Preparing samples and reagents, performing lab assays
- maintaining and calibrating equipment
- Ability to forward think, problem solve and take initiative
- Ability to learn quickly and think on your feet
- Prepared to undertake a pre-employment functional assessment
- Prepared to undertake a Drug & Alcohol screen
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to Multi-task
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a Team
- Very Good communication skills
- Excellent attendance record
- Must be reliable and flexible
- Workplace Health and Safety oriented
