Project Lead - Data Science

I am excited to present the role of Data Scientist – Project lead on behalf of my client. With data and analytics being a key driver of their organisational strategy, my client are further embedding their existing data science team of 4 with this newly created role.

What will you be accountable for?

You’ll be working amongst an established team that consists of data specialists from diverse backgrounds and experiences and leveraging your customer and project management skills to enable you to deliver high impact solutions as one team.
 
In addition to the technical delivery of data science & BI solutions, you will take the lead across the project life-cycle for the team including;

• Strategic Customer Engagement and Communication
• Hold the team accountable whilst delivering Data Science & Solution Development
• Task & Project Management to align team workload and priorities to the business (Stand-Ups, Agile practices)

What are the team looking at?

In terms of their digital strategy, data will play a pivotal role across 3 key pillars that will give this role the opportunity to work across a wide range of data sources. The cornerstones of this strategy and how data will assist are: 

• Operations (predictive maintenance, smart asset management, IoT & time series)
• Employee Experience (visualisation & enablement through data)
• Customer Experience (think consumer behaviour, demographics, marketing)

 The right person for the role…
 

• Demonstrable knowledge within Data Science & Modelling (ideally some formal training in this space)
• Work experience in an enterprise/business environment surrounding IT, projects or data.
• An appetite for innovation and applying data science principles in a business landscape.
• An ability to drive outcomes and oversee project deliverables for a team in a project management or other capacity.
• Strong communications skills – both oral & written
