About the Role:

Our client is a global leader in veterinary diagnostics and pathology. They are currently seeking a Microbiologist to join their Brisbane team.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Validating, interpreting and releasing results;
• Ensuring QC procedures are valid, with equipment maintained to NATA/ISO standards;
• Maintaining a safe working environment;
• Support and mentor junior team members as required;
• Timely completion of documentation and reports.

Note: This role may require occasional weekend or weeknight work.


Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this position, applicants will require:

• A Degree in Microbiology or Veterinary/Medical Laboratory Science;
• 2+ years' experience within a NATA/ISO certified microbiology laboratory;
• Knowledge of NATA laboratory requirements is essential;
• Experience in veterinary pathology or diagnostics would be highly regarded;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• High attention to detail with accurate record keeping skills;
• Solid computer/database literacy skills.
