We are currently looking for an experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to be based at our Brooklyn Plant located 15 minutes west of the Melbourne CBD. 

Responsibilities

• Operation and monitoring of the site wastewater system including pre-screening areas, DAFs and decanters
• Complete fault finding and troubleshooting of the wastewater system as required
• Complete regular performance testing of equipment and chemicals
• Maintain daily operation records
• Managing odour control systems, storm water and solid wastes
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as required
• Other responsibilities that may come up from time to time

Criteria

• Experience and/or knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment is preferred
• Certificate III in Water Industry Operation (desirable not essential)
• Basic ability to use computer based monitoring/controls systems (i.e. SCADA)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to function in an abattoir environment in a hands on role
• Anyone with an interest in JBS environmental policies

Conditions

• Continuous Rotating Shift – 24 hour coverage;

• 4 x 12 hour shift roster (4 on, 4 off);

• 2 x Day shift followed by 2 by Night shift;
