We have an exciting opportunity to join one of World's leading Food and Beverage Companies. One of the key pillars of this business is to enhance and contribute to healthier life style choices for all of its customers and consumers.

Our client is looking for 2 key members to work in the Chemistry and Microbiology Testing Departments at a state of the art food testing laboratory based in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs.

We have two vacancies, that we are seeking interest in, for an immediate start:

• 1 x Technician with a Microbiology focused background
• 1 x Technician with Dry and Wet Chemistry instrumentation technique experience

Both roles require an individual with a strong food focus at the technical / testing level.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conduct laboratory testing according to test procedures and safety measures and established plan.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained as per described schedule.
• Responsible for the Quality Management System as per quality standards and procedures.
• Focus on continuous improvements via audits and inspections and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure excellent housekeeping in the laboratory.

Key Requirements include:

• Knowledge of Food Safety / Food Standards Code
• Knowledge of, selection and execution of Dry and Wet Chemistry Instrumentation Techniques
• Experience with GC, HPLC and ICP
• Operational experience in TGA Laboratory
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Microbiology, Chemistry or Food Technology
