Government Organisation requires Senior Acquisitions Manager for major infrastructure project.
Your new company
Responsible for major infrastructure projects out client is a major NSW State Government organisation responsible for the strategic direction and guiding both public and private service delivery agencies on improved infrastructure outcomes.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing of cost effective acquisition, or control of land or interests in land required for projects, providing strategic advice on property matters, the acquisition process, the risks, valuation methodology and legal precedent and managing property owners and other stakeholder expectations. This role also leads negotiations and contract formulation.
Other responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition or control of all appropriate lands to suit the development and delivery program
- Undertake feasibility studies, current market conditions and identifying opportunities during business case development for infrastructure projects.
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies including leading negotiations with property owners and their consultants.
- Procure and manage property service providers including valuers, lawyers, and environmental consultants.
- Undertake thorough property investigation, robust due diligence and negotiations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Economics, Property, Real Estate, Valuation or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with and understanding of relevant legislation, policy, processes and practices involved in property planning, land acquisition and management for major infrastructure projects and programs.
- Experience in contract management relevant to property and land acquisition.
