Seeking a commercially savvy individual, well versed in asset management to manage our vivacious retirement community in South Eastern Melbourne.

Your role

As the Village manager in our retirement village, you be will responsible for the daily operations and success of one of our premium assets within the Victorian portfolio. You will lead a close-knit team to ensure the needs of our valued residents are catered for whilst striving for operational excellence.

As the village evolves, you will play an active role driving the development and shaping the future of this village for Stockland and its residents.  Some of your duties will include:

  • Contributing towards the strategic direction of the village including assessment of growth potential, asset management, maintaining excellent knowledge of community needs and market trends
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as our respected residents and families as well as Stockland employees, village employee’s contractors.
  • Managing all the village administration and financials including reporting, budget, P&L, accounting records.
  • Play an active part in the interaction with residents, residents committees and local community.
  • Managing, coaching and inspiring your close-knit team to allow them to reach their true potential and deliver the upmost in customer service to our residents.

About You

You will have a solid background in operations management in the Asset, Hospitality or Business sectors. You will also have: 

  • Possess strong financial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to build credibility and rapport with stakeholders
  • Ability to interact with your residents with respect, maturity & empathy
  • Ability to leader and develop a team
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
