Client Details
Our client has successfully captured the local market in their space and continues to grow their retail empire exponentially. A collaborative and efficient team dynamic exists across the company and they wish to continue to invest in individuals who can bring their expansive vision to fruition.
The candidate must have successfully managed retail expansion projects on a regional or national level and demonstrate a strong understanding of local current retail property trends and forecasts and expansion best practice. Retail leasing, retail market analysis, retail property strategy and knowledge of end to end acquisitions processes will be considered favourable.
Description
Reporting to the Manager for Expansion, you will be responsible for ensuring all regional expansion targets are met in terms of quantity and quality and your strategy consistently aligns within the larger global expansion strategy and real estate road map.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Offer in depth market analysis of local retail property trends to support executive decision making in building new stores and developing existing ones.
- Own and operate strategic reports such as the three year property plan and regional expansion road map.
- Provide advice and reporting support to the global head of leasing and global head of property for regional store expansions.
- Set and achieve leasing targets with new stores, rebuilds, rent levels and lease negotiations, renewals and contract options.
- Compile, analyse and report on the performance of newly opened stores and take action to amend negative trends.
- Support decision making by providing key input with accurate data and making recommendations.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration with the country manager, expansion manager and other regional managers to create continuity towards agreed targets, goals, and results.
Profile
- 5+ Years’ experience in a similar role within the retail industry
- Tertiary degree in a property related field, preferable but not essential
- Management experience and the ability to lead from the front
- Exceptional record within retail leasing, asset management and retail expansion
- Dynamic and innovative leadership within retail property
- Influencer with broad communication and client engagement skills
