Further duties include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the National Manager to agree new business priorities.
- Assist the National Manager to generate, identify and assess (inc. due diligence) acquisition opportunities and prepare and present material suitable for Investment Committee / Board approval; and complete acquisitions.
- Updating and maintaining the new business database for all transactions occurring in the residential development sectors across the country.
- Financial modelling and analysis to quickly determine development opportunities.
- Co-ordinate due diligence teams of external consultants and Mirvac personnel (inc. data room management).
- Work collaboratively with development delivery teams to ensure rigor in detailed site assessment and ensure a professional handover of newly acquired sites to the delivery team.
- Developing commercial relationships with external parties including valuers, project managers, agents, developers, planners, industry consultants in target markets to keep abreast of current market activity and trends.
- Collaborate with and manage internal advice and sign-offs in relation to corporate risk, tax and legal.
- Manage and contribute to internal (national and state) new business meeting(s) and reporting requirements.
- Manage a new business plan and associated budget for each financial year.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Completion of tertiary qualifications in property or related fields (minimum 3-5 years out).
- Extensive and relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with potential partners and other industry relevant groups.
- Able to think laterally with commercial acumen.
- Able to analyse and formulate financial data and convey financial implications.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling and discounted cash flows.
- Discretion, diplomacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong market and financial analysis
- Intermediate / advanced skill in Microsoft Office suite.
