Facilities Manager required to manage and oversee a large data centre for a global organisation.
Your new company
Our client is a household Australian name with a vast national presence, and they are looking for a Facilities Manager to join their team immediately within a permanent capacity. In this role you will work with cross business units to deliver multiple upgrades and infrastructure changes to the already operational data centre.
Your new role
As an experienced Facilities Manager you will:
• Manage the building facilities in support of the data centre.
• Coordinate all maintenance requests, as well as being responsible for the coordination of sub-contractors.
• You will monitor and assess the safety of the workplace, assuring any issues are reported and being resolved.
• You will liaise with external contractors and arrange quotes for the repair of minor works, and follow up until the job has been completed.
• You will be accountable for effectively co-ordinating the day-to-day activities and negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders, working with them to resolve solutions quickly.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will need:
• Knowledge of electrical switching systems, UPS’s and generators.
• Experience with mission critical environments.
• A Grade Electrician Certification.
• Experience working in a data centre or a critical technical environment would be preferable.
