Our client has established itself as a worldwide leading provider of communications and security products. Headquartered in the USA with locations around the world, the business has activities spanning 50 countries and revenues of multiple billions, earning it a place in the fortune 500.
  
THE ROLE
  
Whilst there are a number of lawyers globally, this is an exciting opportunity to operate autonomously as the sole legal counsel within the Australian operation – reporting into the APAC Senior Legal Counsel. The role will involve the successful applicant providing advice across an array of legal areas, with a focus on commercial agreements including simple to highly complex sales & purchase, distributor, reseller, subcontractor and transportation arrangements plus NDAs, RFQs and RFPs.
  
The role will also involve the development of tailor made education & training programmes on commercial law, contract process and risk management, to be delivered to teams across the business. You will also work with the worldwide legal team to assist with the creation, implementation and enhancement of processes and policies.
  
You will have solid training from a well-regarded top or mid-tier law firm and have some in house experience, ideally with a multi-national organisation. You will be a commercial law specialist with a strong knowledge of sales and purchase transactions. Mandarin language skills will be very well regarded but are by no means a pre-requisite.
