It's with a buoyant practice who reward and promote within, so there's never any carrot dangling. The client base consists of your heavy corporates, so there's no conveyor belt recovery work. It's a close knit team housed within a larger group so you get the best of both worlds. Just a sniff of what you can expect to be cutting your teeth on includes banking and finance recovery, insolvency and corporate restructuring and dispute management and resolution. You'll have the chance to advises financiers on restructuring facilities and workouts and you'll work closely with receivers, voluntary administrators and liquidators across a diverse range of industries so plenty of variety is on offer. Not only that, the Partner you'll learn from is recognised as one of Queensland’s leading and most experienced restructuring and insolvency lawyers, so you'll work with clients, company directors and advisers to analyse the issues and provide a range of options within tight time frames and often under difficult circumstances (as that is his specialty).
This role totally has your name on it with your 'like for like' experience in a renowned firm. You've enjoyed the last couple of years in the insolvency / debt recovery / commercial litigation space and want to rehouse your experience in a firm where you can be a major part of it. And that's a given here. No empty promises and a track record of Partners who joined the firm as trainees. Once you're on board here the only way is up.
