About the role:

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• File management from start to finish including all types of conveyancing, leasing, off-the-plan developments and business sales and purchases
• Preparation of contracts and leases
• Conducting searches and enquiries
• Reviewing and advising on contracts, leases and other documents
• Exchange and settlement preparation including settlement figure calculations
• Conducting matters via PEXA
• Any other work required to complete conveyancing transactions
• Other duties as required

Hours:

8:45am to 5:00pm with the opportunity to work 3, 4 or 5 days a week (you choose) with one hour for lunch between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

We are a boutique legal practice with offices in Gungahlin and Manuka with close working relationships with our clients. We provide a friendly, approachable service to our clients in the areas of commercial and residential conveyancing, off-the-plan developments, complex property transactions, leasing, small business law, corporate restructures, general commercial work, disputes and wills, estates & probate.

You will be working with the principal, one junior lawyer and our support staff.

About you:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

• Friendly with good people skills
• Hard-working and self-motivated
• 1 years' experience as a conveyancer in all types of property transactions
• Good organisational and file management skills (LEAP experience desirable)
• A focus on providing quality services to our client
