We are on the lookout for an individual to join this new and exciting role with this growing Australian Retail broker based in North Sydney. This role allows you to test the waters whilst working closely with the general counsel supporting the business functions day to day. 

Responsibilities 

• Be able to proof read documents & contracts with a view to seeking out specific criteria (which will be provided) for:
• trading documentation
• broker agreements
• technology and outsourcing agreements
• arrange for agreements to be executed by the appropriate authorised signatories
• Prepare board resolutions, including circulate and arrange signing
• Be able to research matters where an immediate answer is not available and to provide a full answer supported by references
• Required to help with company secretarial matters
• Financial services experience would be desirable
• Required personal skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and be a self starter with initiative 
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organised
• Handle competing priorities that may change quickly depending upon business needs
• Strong communication skills, Written and Verbal. 
• Computer skills, including standard office technology (ie Word, etc)
• Experience – a minimum of 5 years working experience in Legal/ Financial Services
• Preferred Qualifications
• legal / paralegal qualifications
• Financial Services experience 
• FX and Equities experience
