We’re looking for a strong technical Lawyer to be one of the leaders in our commercial and corporate team.  

This role will be as a Senior Lawyer to help our clients manage their commercial, corporate and risk requirements.

What you’ll be doing?

• Advising clients across a range of transactions and documents. This will range from advising clients from their initial structuring, through to acquisitions, as well as around operational, compliance and employment requirements.
• You will be drafting documents and advices on a daily basis and dealing directly with clients.
• You will have the opportunity to advise clients on a range of projects including solar and new energy, infrastructure, commercial developments and risk management strategies.
• Mentoring our Junior Lawyers – we believe we need to develop both commercial and technically sound lawyers. We practice what we preach and strive to develop our Junior Lawyers driven by outcomes.
• We’re still a new law firm, so we’re constantly looking for ways to get better at what we do, and you’ll be helping with the process of continual improvement.

What we’re looking for?

• Great experience – 5 to 10 years of honing your technical legal knowledge so you have the confidence to properly advise clients across a range of commercial issues.
• Commerciality – Great advice and drafted documents that are based on commercial realities.
• Collaboration – We believe the best way we can deliver legal and advisory services to clients is to share our knowledge with each other. Our team is constantly collaborating to make sure the solution we develop is right for our client. This means all members need to be passionate about working with the rest of our team.
• Adaptable – As we’re a new business we embrace change and identify and utilise alternative practices and methodologies. This means it’s a dynamic environment to work in.
• Experience in programming or project management is not a necessity, but something we’d love!

The role can be based from either our Sydney or Newcastle offices, as you will be working with the teams across both offices.
