The Bendigo based Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre (LCCLC) (a program of ARC Justice) delivers a range of legal assistance services (casework, education and policy) across North and Central Victoria, including the Bendigo Health Justice Partnership, an innovative collaboration between LCCLC and Bendigo Community Health Service.
About the role
The HJP lawyer will lead and champion the Bendigo HJP and will be the primary contact for the Health Justice partnership. The position will be based on site at BCHS a minimum of three days per week to deliver legal services and develop the capacity of BCHS staff to identify and respond to legal issues. The program's design ensures that the HJP lawyer remains strongly connected to LCCLC for support and to share learnings.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional, who will be given the opportunity to be innovative, collaborative and lead best practice in legal service and projects. You will have the flexibility to take on a variety of different legal matters, making a difference to the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged clients.

Skills and experience
In addition to possessing the qualifications necessary to practicing law in Victoria, applicants must have a desire to pursue a career in public interest and community law and have an unrestricted driver's license.
