This will be a great opportunity for any mid level or senior Corporate/Commercial lawyer looking for an exciting change to move inhouse and expand their franchising/leasing experience.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Preparing, negotiate and finalise franchise documentation for all franchise related transactions including franchise agreements, licences and sales of business agreements
• Prepare advice and responses in connection with franchising matters and assist franchising department with drafting of special conditions when required
• Code compliance
• Prepare, negotiate and finalise property related transactions including agreements for lease, leases, extensions, variations and surrenders across all Australian Jurisdictions
• Prepare advice and responses regarding leasing issues
• Prepare Titles Office Forms across all jurisdictions
• Assisting in maintaining currency of relevant information on Lease Eagle

  To be successful in this role:

• Bachelor of Laws or similar
• Preferably come from a Franchising or Property background
• At least 5 years post admission experience
• Understanding of franchising legislation is desirable
• Experience in leasing and general property related matters is essential and across multiple jurisdictions is desirable
• Strong attention to detail, self- motivated and organised
• Able to work without supervision and to supervise others when required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders
• Proactive approach to problem solving
