This will be a great opportunity for any mid level or senior Corporate/Commercial lawyer looking for an exciting change to move inhouse and expand their franchising/leasing experience.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Preparing, negotiate and finalise franchise documentation for all franchise related transactions including franchise agreements, licences and sales of business agreements
- Prepare advice and responses in connection with franchising matters and assist franchising department with drafting of special conditions when required
- Code compliance
- Prepare, negotiate and finalise property related transactions including agreements for lease, leases, extensions, variations and surrenders across all Australian Jurisdictions
- Prepare advice and responses regarding leasing issues
- Prepare Titles Office Forms across all jurisdictions
- Assisting in maintaining currency of relevant information on Lease Eagle
- Bachelor of Laws or similar
- Preferably come from a Franchising or Property background
- At least 5 years post admission experience
- Understanding of franchising legislation is desirable
- Experience in leasing and general property related matters is essential and across multiple jurisdictions is desirable
- Strong attention to detail, self- motivated and organised
- Able to work without supervision and to supervise others when required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders
- Proactive approach to problem solving
