Your new company
Here is a career defining opportunity for an experienced commercial or corporate lawyer to join a large and diverse organisation within an in-house legal advisory capacity. This organisation has a complex structure, multiple services and a large property portfolio in Canberra.
Your new role
Joining a growing team as legal counsel, under the direction of the General Counsel with a supporting and reporting line to the senior legal counsels. You will be offered a variety of work that will develop your legal craft and build your stakeholder engagement and business acumen skills.
The legal matters will range from general commercial and contracts, corporate law, privacy, IP and employment. You will want to work with a complex stakeholder group and be passionate about supporting the business achieve its goals.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a self-starter and comfortably sit with a high level of responsibility. You will be confident, but have the self-awareness to know your limits and ask for advice.
You will have a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to high level systemic work and develop your influencing skills while working in an open plan and flat structure. Overall, the variety and diversity of this role will require a robust character who is open to feedback and an awareness of the political implications.
