The position:
We currently have an exciting role for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor. The role is ideally suited to a Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PAE. This firm is looking for a technically savvy, client focused individual, to work within our practice to provide timely and accurate advice to clients and achieve results.
The role is a broad commercial litigation role, acting for a variety of clients from publicly listed companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and insolvency practitioners to individuals. The work you will undertake involves:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drafting advices, pleadings and prepare matters for hearing;
- Contested commercial litigation matters;
- Insolvency matters;
- Provide support and assistance to our Principal and Senior Counsel, on larger court matters;
- Have exposure to all aspects of the litigation process from taking the client’s instructions to appearing in court; and
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives
Skills:
- Experience working in Commercial Litigation & Insolvency;
- Ability to work autonomously yet still be part of a team;
- Strong research and drafting skills will be highly regarded;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines and have a ‘best at what we do’ vision;
- A professional demeanour;
- The desire to learn and develop professionally; and
- A positive and proactive work ethic;
