The Actuarial Department is now looking for proactive, self-starters with unquestioned commitment and integrity to join the team as a Financial Optimisation Actuary for a period of 12 months based at our St Kilda Road head office. Reporting to the Head of Capital, Financial optimisation and ALM, you will develop, support and implement the financial optimisation initiatives across AIAA and AIA NZ. This position plays a significant role in the successful execution of Project Infinity, supporting finance / actuarial initiatives to ensure key financial objectives are met.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Fully qualified actuary through the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, or similar professional body.
- Experience in capital management and detailed knowledge of the latest Australian life insurance capital standards
- Knowledge of Individual and Group Risk Insurance.
- Knowledge of Australian tax and life insurance legislation.
- Understanding of the interaction of cashflows, capital, profit and value measures and drivers.
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
