Our client is a specialist Underwriting agency in the rapidly growing strata sector. They continually strive to adapt their value proposition through innovative product offerings.  They also strive to secure and protect their client’s investments in line with emerging exposures, new laws and regulations, and developments within this often diverse, complex and specialised area of insurance.
  
Reporting into the National Claims Manager, you will have the opportunity to utilise your extensive experience gained from within a technical property claims environment.

Your purpose will be to ensure the proactive management of claims primarily for the VIC/TAS branch in accordance with approved guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • To deliver on agreed claims processes and procedures in support of the claims team goals and objectives on a state and national level;
  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external partners and key stakeholders including builders, engineers, assessors, brokers and strata managers;
  • Having good knowledge of industry regulations and standards to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with internal and external standards and regulations;
  • Being able to demonstrate a progressive knowledge of the Strata insurance sector;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key broker and strata manager partners AND
  • Adopting a culture of high performance, contributing to an internal environment of teamwork whilst promoting a positive brand image to external customers
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have 2+ years’ experience in a similar claims role (Strata ideal, property essential) within the residential or commercial property sector;
  • Be client focused working closely with all partners and stakeholders with the purpose of building long term industry relationships that influence positive mutual outcomes;
  • Bring a solid level of claims management knowledge and capability to work closely and effectively with clients to resolve issues and improve their experience;
  • Align to the values of honesty, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement AND
  • Be a strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
