QBE is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated underwriter in Surety who will be responsible for the ongoing development of new business relationships, maintenance and development of existing relationships with key business partners and be a prime contact point for new business enquiries. The role will also be responsible for the development and implementation of an effective marketing strategy for the main Surety Products and any new product lines, whilst, monitoring competitor activity to ensure QBE remains the preferred provider of Surety in the Australian Market.

The opportunity
- Achievement of new & renewal business budgets
- Portfolio Management & Development.
- Establishment of new facilities and security documentation.
- Assessing requested amendments to bond wordings in regard to the implications and acceptability to QBE and the Surety Reinsurance Program.
- Maintaining consistent and up to date assessment protocols in terms of the underwriting policies to maintain high credit standards.
