The position
 
We are currently seeking a Claims Officer who can hit the ground running to join our corporate office located in Alice Springs.  This role is a full time, permanent position.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
The Claims Officer, reporting directly to a Team Manager, is responsible for providing a customer focused, efficient, and cost effective management of workers compensation claims, duties include:  

• Providing effective and efficient claims administration to ensure that injured workers receive fair and accurate compensation in accordance with relevant legislation;
• Providing a high quality and empathetic customer service to internal and external stakeholders;
• Providing professional and proactive specialist claims management support to Return to Work Specialists, with a view to achieving safe and sustained return to work as early as possible.

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

• A strong sense of accountability with the ability to follow through on tasks;
• Demonstrated ability working as part of a team;
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships;
• A proven track record in delivering on customers’ needs/requirements with the ability to empathise;
• Strong organisational and time management capability;
• A sound level of attention to detail.

 
Candidates with workers compensation or personal injury experience will be held in high regard.
