About the role

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced broker to join our Corporate team, based in Perth. You will be responsible for managing and servicing a varied portfolio of accounts. In addition; you will manage all aspects of the insurance cycle, whilst mentoring and developing the skills of junior account brokers.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist management team with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals
• Meet and exceed service standards agreed in the client’s service agreement
• Maximise team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control
• Provide clear and accurate delegation of key tasks to Senior Account Executives
• Consistently meet and exceed own and team revenue, expense and trading profit budgets
• Develop and maintain effective long term relationships with own and Account Executive's key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company's relationship at all times;
• Possess and apply a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations
• Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance meets
• Actively developing  additional business from existing portfolio

Skills & Experience

• Ideally, a minimum of 7 years Corporate Broking experience within general lines of insurance and/or underwriting
• Prior experience managing a portfolio of medium to large corporate accounts
• Significant experience in successfully managing major client relationships
• Possess a solid understanding of all aspects of insurance and indemnity clauses
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Tier 1 FCA Compliance is essential and a tertiary qualification in Insurance Broking will be highly regarded but not essential
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of insurance and indemnity clauses
