About the role

[link removed]Superannuation, Retirement, and Investments brings together AMP’s retail and workplace super (accumulation and retirement) propositions as well as our non-super investment propositions. This includes product strategy, product management, profitability management and pricing for retail and corporate superannuation, investments, and platforms.

The Product Manager will take ownership of the day to day product management activities within the Insurance business line in Product Management and provide support to the Senior Product Manager, Insurance / Defined Benefits in relation to strategic projects and risk management activities.

Duties

•  Maintain the existing insurance product set to legal, industry and competitor standards, including initiating and project managing product enhancements as required.
• Ensure the insurance offerings with the various products are managed within the Risk Management Framework and all incidents identified are rectified within the appropriate timeframes and process.
• Assist with the review and preparations of all legally required materials such as Product Disclosure Statements, Annual Reports or any other product member documents e.g. Annual Statements, Investment Guide Fact Sheets, Significant Event Notices.
•  Liaise with key stakeholders, in particular the Insurance Group and Retail Proposition teams and Trustee Governance areas to assist with product management and development initiatives.
• Establish and embed business processes by documenting and maintaining theses to retain the knowledge within the Insurance Product Management function

Skills & experience

• Solid experience in insurance field, to be able to bring sound expertise knowledge to the role. 
• Strong understanding of the operation of insurance within the superannuation environment;
• Strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework and fluid regulatory and competitive environment in which we operate.
• Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness and emotional intelligence with a natural ability to appropriately adapt their personal and leadership styles through this to maximise influence of situations.
• Solid analytical skills and ability to develop, document and implement robust processes
• proven extensive experience within insurance product management or related field
