The Position:
 
We are currently seeking a Liability Officer for a fixed-term contract in our Adelaide office. This position is known internally as Eligibility Officer.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a high level of customer service when dealing with external stakeholders;
• Determining the outcome of claims based on information at hand and in with legislation;
• Actively listen, show empathy and recognise the needs of the worker and employer;
• Utilising appropriate referrals and investigation tools to expedite information gathering, ensuring accurate and timely determinations are achieved;
• Liaising with key internal stakeholders regarding difficult claim circumstances before determination;
• Identifying any potential barriers and provide effective strategies for eligibility outcomes.

The Candidate
 
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrated ability to interact empathetically with people in vulnerable situations, along with highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and develop trust. We are seeking an individual with a strong sense of accountability with the ability to follow through on tasks within tight timeframes;
 
Demonstrated claims management experience & knowledge of relevant acts and legislative requirements along with Industry specific qualifications and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people who are impacted by a workplace injury, work health benefits and services available to workers and employers will be held in high regard.
