ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client is a well known and respected global insurer operating in the property and casualty space. With offices all around the world the long-term career opportunities are limitless. Based in their modern Melbourne CBD office you will join a busy and established team as a Business Package Underwriter. You will be responsible for handling renewals, endorsements and new business.
This is an exciting position which will meet the needs of the most ambitious.
KEY DUTIES:
- Review and underwrite risks within a delegated authority
- Responsible for profitability of portfolio
- Maintaining relationships with brokers and other stakeholders.
- Assist various underwriting teams with cross-sell opportunities
- Achieve new business and retention targets
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideally immediately available (or little notice)
- Personable and proactive
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly organised and able to hit the ground running
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
- Minimum 1 year business package experience
