About the team
Arrive to a different challenge each day as you help settle our worker injury claims. As part of the IM team, you’ll work closely with unions and key stakeholders to resolve disputes as early as possible – taking steps to ensure similar incidents don’t happen again.
About the role
In this position, you’ll:
- Deliver complex claims management decisions and benefits to injured workers, making sure we comply with the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (SRC) Act 1988
- Manage a varied portfolio of compensation claims in a highly sensitive industrial environment
- Give compensation advice to various people across the business, including claims staff, operational management and injured employees
- Work hand in hand with your colleagues to improve the claims process for workers – seeking an early resolution in every case
- Manage key relationships with stakeholders including Comcare, unions, legal representatives and medical practitioners
- Support the business to provide a safer workplace
What are we looking for?
- An expert in determining liability within the SRC Act and the changing regulatory environment
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Experience managing a varied and complex portfolio of injured employees,
- Fresh ideas and an ability to take the lead in a project management role
- A people person with the ability to form influential relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience implementing industry best practice models
