Head Chef - Kitchen Department Head
- Brand new state of the art kitchen in Richmond (soon to open, anticipated completion early August 2018)
- Monday to Friday hours - NO WEEKENDS
- Breakfast and lunch service only
- Close to Eastern Freeway and Public Transport (buses and trams)
We have an amazing opportunity for a passionate Head Chef at our new venue (Concrete Blonde) in Melbourne's Inner suburbs.
As Head Chef you will manage the busy kitchen operations, day-to-day menu execution, food safety duties, administration and kitchen financials.
In addition to having a genuine love and passion for producing consistent, high quality food; you will be a team player with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and a strong desire to succeed.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and experience:
- Excellent knowledge and experience in all basic techniques and styles;
- A strong background in utilising fresh, seasonal and local ingredients;
- Knowledge of all food safety standards;
- A good understanding of all financials running a kitchen e.g: Labour and COGs benchmarks;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Effective leadership skills; and
- A professional attitude in the kitchen at all times.
