Excellent opportunity has become available for an experience Chef to lead the kitchen at our busy established café on St Kilda Rd. The cafe serves an office clientele. The role will be responsible for cooking Bain Marie and Ala carte menu items at the café. This is a Monday to Friday role, working along side a great team in the kitchen as well as front of house staff and baristas. We pride ourselves in delivering great food and great service to customers, it is important the candidate helps to maintain that standard.
Ideal candidate:
- MUST have experience in cooking for Bain Marie and Ala Carte Breakfast and Lunch menu
- MUST be reliable
- Hardworking and fast paced
- Previous experience in creating seasonal menu and running a kitchen
Food Safety Management and Stock Management experience a must -
- Certificate III in commercial cookery or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience in commercial kitchen
- Passion and interest in food, well presented and confident
- Good communication skills and works well with others in the kitchen and front of house
- Positive, friendly and approachable disposition
- Residency or visa that allows employment in Australia
