The Hotel Eyre is situated in Whyalla. The hotel serves traditional A la Carte and bistro style meals. We also cater for various functions up to 150 guests.
Reporting to the Venue Manger this position will be responsible for:
- Food preparation of a freshest quality, showcasing local & regional suppliers
- Seasonal and ongoing creation of new menu items and innovative dishes
- Stock control & costing, ordering and rotation
- Approx 42-45 hours per week.
- Key responsibilities of the role include,
- Staff training
- Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
- Setting rosters and maintaining wage / food costs
- High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment unsupervised.
- Compliance with HACCP, food safety and workplace health and safety, previous experience is a must.
The successful applicant will require a passion for great food and have the ability to work in a team under pressure. Must be available to work across any hours of operation including nights, on weekend and public holidays. Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
