Novotel Brisbane Airport is a four and a half star hotel features 157 guest rooms, 6 meeting rooms a Restaurant & Bar.
We are currently recruiting for a Food and Beverage Team Leader.
The successful candidate will assist the Food & Beverage Manager and Supervisors in the daily management of the department. You will do this by ensuring that both you and all F&B staff provide exceptional guest service whilst adhering to the properties policies and procedures. This job role will be 75% focused on conferencing and 25% focused in the restaurant. The successful candidate will need to be able to work autonomously and will good attention to detail, experience in conferencing is preferable. They will need to feel comfortable setting up and packing down rooms by themselves and also running different types of shifts. They will need to feel comfortable working by themselves or overseeing a team.
This will include the training and development of the team to enable team members to meet or exceed our guest’s expectations at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Supervisory experience in a Hotel, Restaurant or conferencing environment.
• Experience working in a high volume Events Department.
• High level of organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to exceeding customer expectations and requests.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of attendants.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Barista skills.
• Available for early starts and late starts (5am & 3pm).
• Flexible working hours including the ability to work weekends, public holidays, morning and night shifts when required.
