About the Role:
Due to recent growth in the Far North Queensland, Sodexo are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for Qualified Chefs
Your role will include but is not limited to hands-on service for bulk and or buffet style cooking for breakfast, Dinner, pastries, crib and on occasions organising functions. A solid knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures and safe work practices is imperative. Allow your passion for cooking to shine through to the meals you prepare for our clients and fellow staff members. Cleanliness and professional presentation is extremely vital at all times, embrace the opportunity to be a part of a company that are highly respected and highly regarded as a Service provider.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be experienced and certified, ideally within a mining or remote environment. You have bags of stamina and are fit and healthy, bulk cooking experience is a huge advantage however exceptional customer service is key. Your ability to work effectively in teams and have a keen eye for detail is essential. Taking pride and responsibility in your role is greatly admired and is a quality we would love to see in our staff members.
The position will suit a well organised and self-motivated individual who is able to listen to customer needs and provide expert service and communicate in a friendly manner, providing service with a smile. You are someone who is passionate about following strict hygiene practices and adhering to high safety standards and you possess a strong knowledge of manual handling techniques.
