CONFERENCE / FUNCTIONS COORDINATOR

We are looking for an experienced person with proven supervisory experience to join our exciting dynamic team.

This is an opportunity not to be missed if you have strong customer focus, great team & work ethic and the ability to lead by example. Ability to work flexible hours including nights & weekends.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • All administrative tasks relating to conferences and events
  • Coordinating and selling meetings, conferences and events
  • Issuing contracts and quotations
  • Set-up and coordination of conferences and events
  • Provide hands on supervision/running of conference/functions/events
  • Managing accounts
  • Maintaining databases
  • Assist servicing of client requirements
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales team to maximise sales and room nights booked
  • Property point of contact for all conference and events enquiries
  • Conducting site visits
  • Drafting EVO's and liaising with Head of Departments or Supervisors
  • Ability to work weekends and nights if required

    To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in hotels or restaurants preferably with conference and events
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
  • A passion for selling and achieving targets
  • A warm, personable and professional disposition
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Well-developed computer knowledge and strong administration skills
  • Ability to think quickly on your feet
