About the business
Botany Bay Hotel, recently acquired, has undergone a major renovation. As a pub and bistro operating 7 days a week, facilities offered include bar, TAB, function rooms, bottle shop facility and VIP room.
About the role
In this role the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make their own mark. You will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring that the direction and strategy of the business is enhanced and implemented through your input, continue a customer driven environment and be successful in the day to day rigours of hospitality management. Your role will involve the following:
- Training and staff development in order to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- You will be responsible for regulatory compliance to legislation.
- Be able to build the social fabric of a pub.
- Available nights and weekends as the business demands.
- Solid experience in similar roles.
- Exceptional verbal and physical presentation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good understanding of financing and budgeting.
- Ability to prioritise and multi task.
- Driven, motivated and self disciplined.
- Working alongside our head chef to optimize food sales and quality
- Working on sales and marketing strategies alongside the owners and group General Manager to increase sales.
Skills and experience
You must have at least two years experience in managing a venue and the ability to hold a Liquor License.
It is essential that you are self-motivated, 'hands on' and passionate about growing and improvement of this great old pub. We require somebody who thrives on responsibility and attention to detail leaving nothing to chance.
